3 Roses Wine Cellars:
Handcrafted Wines Made with Family, Tradition, and Care for Every Occasion

3 Roses Wine Cellars is a small, family‑run winery that began in Bolivar, Ohio, built on tradition, love, and an unshakable respect for family. What started as a handful of handcrafted wines made with all‑natural ingredients and fresh‑pressed fruit, inspired by my grandfather’s home‑cellar methods, gradually grew into something much bigger. After he passed, I kept making small batches for friends and family the way he had taught me, watching over them with the same care and patience. When everyone kept asking for more, it became clear these wines weren’t just for us anymore—so I began producing larger batches, while still staying true to the original spirit: no shortcuts, no additives, just honest, handcrafted wine.

Each year at 3 Roses, we add at least one new wine to our lineup, constantly exploring specialty styles and taking the time to get them right. We don’t rush the process; proper aging is part of our promise to quality. Making wine is more than a craft here—it’s a continuation of the Italian and Sicilian traditions that have shaped our family for generations. Those roots live in every bottle, from the way we press the fruit to the way we blend and finish our wines.

Motorcycles are also central to our story. My father taught my brother and me to ride when we could barely stand on our own, and that shared love evolved into a way of giving back. Our Easy Rider Reserve is a tribute to the riders who join us, and we support that connection through motorcycle runs for charity throughout the year. These rides help fund children’s charities and support mental health awareness, causes that are deeply personal to us.

People often ask why the name is “3 Roses.” The answer is simple: my mother’s middle name is Rose, my little sister’s middle name is Rose, and my daughter’s middle name is Rose. The “3” is a quiet nod to the three women who anchor our family. Another question we hear is about the skull in our logo. That one is a little harder to put into words, because it carries a very real and painful chapter. I went through a severe depression and, one night, I honestly believed I couldn’t continue. In that moment, my mother called, my sister texted, and my young daughter FaceTime me out of the blue. Hearing their voices stopped me cold—it felt like a sign that I wasn’t meant to be that skull yet. They saved my life, and that’s why I am the skull in the logo: to honor them and to remind myself that I’m still here, because of them.

Despite all the directions life has taken, I want them to know how much I owe to their love and presence. That experience is why family is at the heart of 3 Roses Wine Cellars. Whether you find us at one of the many wine festivals we attend, a charity ride, or an event we host, we want every visit to feel like you’re part of our family. We don’t just pour wine here—we share stories, laughter, and sometimes even a little healing, and we hope that sense of connection stays with you long after the last glass.
